Farnstrom Mortuary History | Farnstrom-Gable Chapel History
Keizer History
In 1982 the Willamette Valley was introduced to its newest funeral home. Jim Ransom of Rigdon Ransom Colonial Funeral Chapel in Salem, converted a three bedroom home into Keizer Funeral Chapel. He remodeled the building to be a small, comfortable place for Keizer area families to make arrangements and hold Funeral or Memorial Services. Our chapel can accommodate over 100 people and we have ample off street parking for service attendees.
In 2007 Loewen Groups, who would later be known as Alderwoods groups, purchased the funeral home. On July 12, 2007, Keizer Chapel became family owned and operated again. Alexander M. Farnstrom and Benjamin M. Farnstrom brothers from Independence, Oregon purchased the funeral home to add to their Independence and Portland locations. As a full service funeral home serving all local cemeteries and also offer affordable cremation Keizer Funeral Chapel’s compassionate and knowledgeable staff provide quality and affordable service 24 hours a day, every day. We are here to assist your family in arranging services specifically designed for your individual needs; personalized funerals, celebrations of life or graveside services. |
